Affirmations to start your day!

Who you are in Christ

Your feelings can’t   tell you who you are, but God can!

Today’s Text: “There is   neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and   female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28 ESV)
God wants you to know who you are:

Feeling ugly? You are a   radiant bride (Rev. 21:2)
Feeling dark? You are   the light of the world (Matt. 5:13-14)
Feeling worthless? You   are a treasure in an earthen vessel (2 Cor. 4:7)
Feeling unwelcome? You   were lost and now are found (Luke 15:32)

Feeling left out? You   are a chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world  (Eph. 1)
Feeling forgotten? You   were known in the womb (Psalm 139)
Feeling unshapely? You   are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139)
Feeling lumpy? You are   clay in the Potter’s hands (Jer. 18:6)
Feeling small? You are   the seed of a great fruit tree (1 Pet. 1:23)
Feeling cursed? You are   blessed with every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1)
Feeling bland? You are   the salt of the world (Matt. 5:13-14)
Feeling like an only child? You   are brother or sister to Christ (Eph. 1:5)
Feeling ignorant? You   have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16)
Feeling unobservant? You   are My witnesses (Acts 1:8)
Feeling bound? By truth,   you are free (John 8:32)
Feeling embarrassed of your heritage? You   are Abraham’s offspring (Gal. 3:16)
Feeling undisciplined? You   are a disciple of Christ (John 13:35)
Feeling vulnerable? You   are a sheep in Christ’s fold (John 10)
Feeling disconnected? You   are the branches on the True Vine (John 15)
Feeling dirty? You are   washed whiter than snow (Psalm 51:7)
Feeling mundane? You are   a holy temple (Eph. 2:21)
 Feeling unemployable? You   are God’s co-laborer (2 Cor. 6:1)
Feeling empty? You are   an overflowing cup (Psalm 23)
Feeling poor? You are   rich in every way (Eph. 1:7)
Feeling unneeded? You   are Christ’s body, each a member of it (1 Cor. 12:27)
Feeling divided? There’s   no Greek nor Jew, you are all one in Christ (Gal. 3:28)
Feeling low class? You   are a royal priesthood (1 Pet. 2:9)
Feeling insignificant? You   are a holy nation (1 Pet. 2:9)
Feeling weak? His   strength is perfected in you (2 Cor. 12:9)
Feeling low? You have   the wings of an eagle (Is. 40:31)
Feeling like an orphan? You   are a daughter – a son – of the Father (John 1:12)

That’s who you are. And that’s the Gospel!
